The self-inflating life raft is one kind of big throw-over inflatable liferafts with a capacity of 50 - 125 persons. It is mainly suitable for coastal and domestic voyages vessels, widely used to evacuate from ships in distress in an emergency, quickly inflated and formed automatically, when thrown into the water. The temperature inflating ranges from -30°c — +65°c.The installation height is 25m-36m from the water surface. The components of the life raft include steel bottles, food, first-aid outfits, quick-release valves, radar reflectors, lithium batteries, painter, etc.

After throw-over from the ship, the life-raft can be self-righting inflated and opened automatically. If the ship sinks very fast and the inflatable life raft can not be thrown-over, the raft still can float up from water under the action of the Hydro-static Release Unit can be inflated and opened automatically.
